Matthew 6:14–15
“For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.”

Jesus connects the forgiveness we receive with the forgiveness we extend. This does not make forgiveness easy; it makes it necessary. We cannot celebrate God’s mercy toward us while intentionally withholding mercy from everyone who has hurt us.

Forgiveness does not mean what happened was acceptable. It means we refuse to allow what happened to become the master of our hearts. The person who hurt us may never apologize, understand, or change—but through forgiveness, we can choose not to remain emotionally imprisoned by their actions.

May today’s declaration remind you that forgiveness is an act of freedom. May God give you grace to release what has wounded you without denying the reality of what happened.

Join us weekday mornings at 6AM PST as we pray, process, and prepare to live from victory—not for victory.
